A Place for Figuring Things Out as We Go

Mending Meredith is a lifestyle blog about navigating your life, taking care of yourself, building a career, finding confidence, and creating a life that feels a little more like your own.

Here you’ll find personal essays, honest conversations, beauty recommendations, career lessons, and notes from a life that’s still very much a work in progress.

For the work in progress

There's More to Life Than Having it All Together

Mending Meredith is for the in-between parts of life.

The career you’re still figuring out. The routines you keep rebuilding. The confidence you’re trying to find. The beauty products you’re wondering if you actually need. The days when you feel like you’ve finally got your life together (and the ones when you absolutely do not).

I believe there’s something comforting in talking honestly about all of it.

This isn’t a guide to having the perfect life. It’s a collection of things I’m learning, loving, questioning, and figuring out along the way, with the hope that something here makes you feel a little less alone in figuring out yours.

Happy to see you.

Hi, I’m Meaghan, the person behind Mending Meredith. By day, I work in aerospace manufacturing, but outside of work I’m usually reading, overthinking something, testing a new beauty product, watching reality TV, or hanging out with my two cats, Teeny and Luca. I’ve always had a lot of interests and never felt particularly interested in fitting myself neatly into one niche, which is part of why this little corner of the internet exists.

I started Mending Meredith as a place to talk honestly about what it looks like to build a life while you’re still figuring yourself out. Here, I write about the things that make up my life: mental health and personal growth, career and navigating the working world, beauty and skincare, and all the messy everyday stuff in between. I’m not writing from the other side with everything figured out. I’m writing while I’m in it; learning what works, changing my mind, getting things wrong, and trying again.

My goal is for Mending Meredith to feel like the kind of place you come across and think, “Okay, someone else gets it”. I want to share things that are useful without pretending there’s one right way to live your life, and create a space where we can be ambitious and uncertain, put-together and struggling, serious and a little superficial, all at the same time. Consider this a collection of notes from one work in progress to another.
